General Skating News
- Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the appeal by the Canadian Olympic Committee, Skate Canada, and Canadian skaters in regards to the request of the re-ranking of the Team Event results. Team Russia will receive bronze medal.
- The medal ceremony will take place in Paris on Wednesday, Aug. 7 with Team USA and Team Japan. It is scheduled for 11 a.m. Eastern and can be watched on Peacock.
- Adam Hagara of Slovakia has withdrawn from the NHK Trophy. This would have been his first Senior GP. He has been assigned to JGP Czech Skate instead.
- Entries were announced for Junior Grand Prix Riga Cup, Aug 28-31, 2024 in Riga, Latvia and for the Junior Grand Prix Czech Skate, Sept. 4-7, 2024 in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
- Ava Ziegler has withdrawn from Skate Canada and Cup of China according to the US Figure Skating Assignments Page. According to Golden Skate, she is having a procedure done on an injury from last season and hopes to be on the ice again soon.
- ISU posted its member entries for Europeans, 4CC, Junior Worlds and Worlds. The ISU are also now using a Combined TES score to qualify for Championships.
