General Skating News
- The ISU Council agreed to a request for an exchange of dates for the 2025-2026 Grand Prix events in France and the U.S. The Grand Prix of France will now be October 17-19 in Angers and Skate America will be November 14-16 in a location to be announced.
- The 2027 World Figure Skating Championships have been provisionally allocated to Tampere, Finland.
- The Dutch ice dance team of Hanna Jakucs and Alessio Galli are no longer cleared to represent the Netherlands in international competitions. The ISU determined that they weren’t able to demonstrate that they spent enough time in the country.
- Turkish skater Ali Efe Güneş has been arrested and is being investigated for sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and threats after allegedly sending messages to underage girls.
- The Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance Tour has kicked off in London
